find your discord user id. in discord, open settings → advanced and turn on developer mode. then right-click your name in any chat and tap copy user id. paste that 17–19 digit number into the discord user id field above.
join the lanyard discord. head to discord.gg/lanyard and join the server. you don't have to do anything else there — just being a member lets your presence (status, currently-playing, spotify, custom status) show up on your bio page in real time.
that's it. once you're in the lanyard server and your discord id is saved here, your page at /yourname will show your live status ring (online / idle / dnd), your current activity (game, vscode, etc.), and any custom status you set in discord.
spotify (optional). for "now playing" you need a last.fm account that auto-scrobbles your spotify. connect spotify to last.fm once, then put your last.fm username in the field above.
